Ready to uncover the hidden stories and obscure corners of Prague? This 6-hour Hidden Gems Tour takes you off the beaten path, combining the best elements of our city’s fascinating history into a single, all-day adventure. You’ll experience more than you would on two separate tours, with a mix of quirky stories, dramatic history, and local charm that will make your time in Prague unforgettable.
We’ll kick things off with a cozy coffee and cake at a hidden gem café, tucked away behind a tobacco shop. Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you—inside is the perfect start to an extraordinary day. From there, we’ll head to the Church of Our Lady Victorious, home of the famous Infant Jesus of Prague statue, which arrived from Spain in the 16th century and is believed to have miraculous powers. But the real magic starts here, with stories that only Prague’s hidden corners can offer.
Next, we travel to the Žižkov district, former stronghold of the Communist Party, where the air still feels charged with history. It’s a district full of stories, many of them still whispered in the streets. For lunch, we’ll stop at a legendary Czech restaurant founded in 1910, where you’ll get to enjoy hearty local dishes and sample some of the finest craft beers Prague has to offer. It’s the kind of place where the food tastes just as rich as the history.
After lunch, we’ll visit the Žižkov Television Tower, an iconic structure from the Communist era designed to block TV signals from the West. It’s one of Prague’s most bizarre buildings and a symbol of the city’s past, towering over the skyline with stories all its own. Following that, we’ll head to the Jewish Cemetery, dating back to 1680, where over 40,000 people, including rabbis, authors, and scholars, are buried. It’s a hauntingly beautiful place that connects the past with the present.
From there, we’ll make our way to St. Cyril and Methodius Cathedral, where one of Prague’s most dramatic moments in World War II took place. In 1942, it was the site of a gun battle with the SS involving the brave men who assassinated Reinhard Heydrich. The echoes of their courage still linger in the church.
Our journey continues with a visit to the former site of Prague’s largest statue of Joseph Stalin, where we’ll explore its fascinating history. Once an imposing monument, now only memories remain, but the stories are far from gone.
To wrap up the day, we’ll enjoy a final beer at a charming local restaurant, where we’ll share the inspiring story of a courageous woman who sacrificed her life for human rights under the Communist regime. Her bravery and the legacy of resistance will leave you with a deeper appreciation for Prague’s complex history.

We did a small group Beer Garden Tour with our group of 5 which was outstanding. He was incredibly funny and knowledgeable. A master storyteller which made the trip come to life. Great beer and an amazing lunch. If we had more free time, we would have booked another tour with him in a heartbeat. Any tour. His storytelling was the best.Posted on Wander38575016551Verified Amazing Daragh was amazing! Really made the experience incredible for everyone in our group. Would highly recommend this to anyone travelling to PraguePosted on Susan CVerified Daragh and Bashka were awesome! We took two tours with this company and highly recommend their personable, friendly, attentive guides. First a history tour with Daragh. He was very knowledgeable about Prague history during WWII and Russian occupation. We so enjoyed also learning the subway system! We ended with a great meal, Czech beer and a visit to the park where Lenin’s statue once stood. The next day Bashka did a Jewish History tour with us. She was amazing answering all of our questions, giving us extensive information about the sites we visited, and honoring Prague’s Jewish population. We couldn’t have asked for better guides.Posted on Henk vVerified Fine alternative tour with Darragh. Special tour led by Darragh. Not downtown, but just outside. So first by tram. It was funny that he had bought 10 tickets for the tram for us. Little did he know that senior citizens (and that is us) in Prague travel for free on public transport.Nice business visited and fine burger eaten. The surprise was a live performance at the Jam. Well arranged. The hotel was very clean and comfortable.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
